Expert Testimony

An expert’s credentials are important when asked to testify in court to support and explain the approach taken in a pension evaluation or preparation of a QDRO.

The process starts by reviewing with the attorney the approach and assumptions appropriate for the case.  We explain to our clients the relevant plan provisions that should be reflected and then develop the appropriate assumptions that should be used to evaluate the benefit or language that should be reflected in the QDRO.

We have over 35 years experience in designing, valuing, administering and communicating plan benefits.  When on the witness stand we are proud to compare our credentials to those of other evaluators and our expertise become obvious.

We feel preparation is also key to success at trial time.  We work with our attorney clients to help them understand the key issues regarding the division of pension benefits in a given case.   Our experience and software allow us to develop simplified explanations to complex issues.
